The Canine Chef was created to provide a healthy alternative to commercial, dry and canned dog food.  I began this enterprise after my yellow lab, Sarah Lee, spent her first few weeks with me at the vets, sick or not eating at all. If you know anything about Labs, you know they will eat almost anything. After much research, I began preparing her meals myself. Her recent check up showed she is in great health, her weight is perfect and her coat is shiny and beautiful.
 
Tender & Tasty:

We offer a variety of dinners that are sure to delight your dog’s taste buds and satisfy his nutritional needs.  Each meal consists of three nutritional groups: meat, grains and vegetables.  Our meals are designed specifically for your dog and are created with your dog’s health and well being in mind.  Each meal consists of natural foods, no fillers, no by-products, no preservatives. 

 Cooking Techniques:

Our meats are cooked just until done, leaving them tender and tasty then chopped and mixed with a grain and fresh vegetables. To supply the necessary calcium, ½ to 1 tsp. of bone meal is added to each 8 oz. serving.  Salt substitute is also added to provide the potassium chloride needed along with  olive or safflower oil for a healthy, shiny coat.

As with any changes you make to your dog’s diet, your vet is the best expert on the nutrition needed by your dog.
